Strategic Technology Collaboration by ODAŞ with Vodafone Business!

Technology

ODAŞ, one of the leading players in the energy sector, has modernised its information technology infrastructure through Vodafone Business’s next-generation cloud and security solutions, transforming it into a hybrid structure that ensures uninterrupted accessibility, robust cyber protection, and centralised network management. From data center operations to backup processes, from cyber security applications to the secure and seamless monitoring of cloud infrastructure, many critical areas have been redesigned. This transformation enables ODAŞ to manage its operations more efficiently while ensuring full compliance with regulations.

Vodafone Business facilitated the transition to cloud-based structures for ODAŞ, a leading company in the energy sector, as part of their strategic partnership. Through this comprehensive transformation, ODAŞ adopted a hybrid cloud model built on next-generation technologies across many critical areas, ranging from data center modernisation to backup and disaster recovery solutions.

With the new infrastructure, ODAŞ’s virtualisation systems were modernised, while data center operations were restructured with a target of 99.9% uptime and high availability. Backup and recovery systems, along with professional service levels, were secured under the assurance of Vodafone Business. In addition, proactive threat prevention was enabled through the implementation of DDoS protection and firewall services against cyberattacks. All devices across network management and data center environments are now centrally monitored, enabling the immediate detection of traffic anomalies. As a result, ODAŞ has established a structure that allows its operations to be managed in a more secure and efficient manner.

“We have established a collaboration that will set an example for the energy sector”

Commenting on the collaboration, Özlem Kestioğlu, Vice President of Vodafone’s Executive Board, stated: “Through this collaboration, ODAŞ has become one of the companies in Türkiye’s energy sector to leverage Vodafone Business services. The transition from an on-premises infrastructure, installed and operated within the company’s own physical environment, to a hybrid cloud model represents not only a technical transformation, but also an exemplary partnership for the sector. This has been achieved through the pricing models, security layers, and managed service structure we have specifically designed to address the needs of the energy sector. As Vodafone Business, we believe that the next-generation infrastructure we have delivered has significantly strengthened ODAŞ’s operational efficiency and level of digital security.”

A Strategic Initiative to Strengthen Digital Security and Business Continuity

Commenting on the collaboration, ODAŞ COO Caner Demirayak said: “We view this step not merely as a service procurement, but as a long-term technology partnership. Through this collaboration, we have strengthened the digital security and continuity of our technology infrastructure, enabling us to manage our operations in a more secure, efficient, and regulation-compliant manner against cyber threats. This comprehensive digital transformation we have undertaken with Vodafone Business not only addresses today’s needs, but also allows us to build the intelligent, secure, and sustainable energy world of tomorrow. Through this collaboration, we are increasing our operational efficiency while leading the sector’s digitalization journey with an innovation-driven infrastructure.”

ODAŞ’s Technical Infrastructure Has Been Further Strengthened

As part of its collaboration with Vodafone Business, ODAŞ has begun utilizing hybrid cloud solutions that combine multiple cloud technologies. This has enabled the company to establish a more flexible, scalable structure that also helps reduce operational costs. With hybrid cloud solutions, some systems operate within ODAŞ’s own physical environment (on-premises), while others run in the cloud, bringing together flexibility and security in a single integrated model.
